La technique a \u00e9volu\u00e9, a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0modernis\u00e9e\u00a0\u00bb par Swami Satyananda, tout en maintenant son originalit\u00e9 ancestrale. Pendant cette pratique, le corps est inactif et s&rsquo;endort mais le mental, lui, reste attentif, vigilant : il est alors en \u00e9tat de NIDRA (sommeil en sanskrit) o\u00f9 toutes les parties de l&rsquo;\u00eatre sont en harmonie. On peut consid\u00e9rer cet \u00e9tat comme un \u00e9tat modifi\u00e9 de conscience.
